If ure unhappy about no captioning or for that matter comment on that scammed relay calls, u can email to Fox News On Your Side with this email address and express ur issue.   This is the email to Fox News Channel 7  news@fox7.com   I strongly encourage y’all to send email to Fox News - be it complimentary, neutral, or gripes.

At any rate, I am glad this video clip happened, so hearing folks - and I’m sure some of them are businesses would now know what they need to do.    In this video clip, I suggested that registration may offer solution to minimize the scammed relay calls.

All..

Last Friday night, Fox News 7 On Your Side did a video clip on nefarious folks taking advantage of Internet Relay.  This news link shows summary of the video clip (not video - just text).

Scammers Use IP Relay

A few of you emailed me and advised that the video clip of that news was not captioned.  Hopefully this link will at least satisfy your need for details.   I’ve already advised news network of this.

Fox News Your Side on Scammed Relay Calls

16 02 2007

All..

Tonight at 9 pm (Friday night Feb 16), Fox News Your Side (Channel 7 - Austin area) will do news segment on Scammed Relay Calls.  Yours Truly (me) will be on TV news.   They interviewed me nearly 20 minutes long, but I do not know how much of that will be aired.

They wanted to report on relay service as well as on scammed relay calls that were made from nefarious hearing persons from outside of USA pretending to be deaf.

FYI:  just this afternoon there was a very good and, I felt, productive telephone conference call with the FCC, deaf leaders, and providers regarding what is best way to do outreach to the businesses that they need to do best business practices in processing telephone orders.   Kudos to the FCC to try and resolve this sticky problem.
