All..

I have met him a few times and in those few times I was vastly impressed with him.  He has left a legacy that greatly helped many people improve their lives including deaf and hard-of-hearing.   My deepest condolences to his family and relatives.  I have and will say a few prayers for him and his family.

FCC Notice on Renewal State Certification

10 01 2008

All..

Happy Belated New Year!   Family and I had a long and great holidays.

When I finally got back to work, geez email and work load is maing me pay for time off.  ;-]   Kidding aside, it was really not too bad.

The FCC is asking for comments on State’s application for State Telecommunications Relay Service.  The certification is good for 5 years, and certification expires on July 25, 2008.   Each state has to write up a report showing that state met the required regulations as stipulated by federal rule from Title IV of the Telecom Act.

List of States That Applied

I clicked on Texas and got this Texas Application Docs

If you feel that Relay Texas or for that matter any states that do not meet the requirement of certification, by all means file your remarks with the FCC.  Be sure to cite CG Docket No. 03-123 and DA 08-60 then write your remarks why you feel state is not meeting regulation.  Be sure to cite factual information.  Anecdotes are not as good as factual information, but the FCC would like to see them though.
