Click to the press news release on Viable partnering with Sign Share group (Houston-based).
SignShare
It has become a trend nowadays; interpreter service providers either partnering with VRS provider or absorbed (bought) into VRS provider. Not many free-standing interpreter service providers left in the good ole USA.
Viable partnering with a good group with Sign Share. I’ve known Deborah Gunter who owns Sign Share for a good while and she has qualified interpreters on her company. Quality interpreting should now be enhanced from Viable via Sign Share interpreters.
Folks, try them out and let us know what y’all think.

Hey, folks- another one – don’t know what it looks like, but neverheless an announcement of another video conference product/service by WorldGate.
Copy and paste one paragraph related to SnapVRS. Interesting to note "ojo’s biggest customer" is serving the deaf and hoh.
"The MSRP for the Ojo Pro will be $699 and it is expected to be available for delivery in September 2008. Snap!VRS, Ojo’s biggest customer serving the Deaf and Hard of Hearing markets will be among the first to distribute the Ojo Pro. "We look forward to testing and offering Ojo Pro and its enhanced functionality to our Deaf and Hard of Hearing customers for use in their workplace" said Richard Schatzberg, CEO, Snap!VRS."
OJO Pro VP
When it rains, it pours, huh? This is really for business, but I can see where it may benefit deaf/hoh who are in business for themselves, or work for government agencies or corporate.

Hats off to CSDVRS for doing that!
I am sure most of us are eager to know how well they work, cost of them, etc.
Any of you go to the NAD conference? If so, did you check these nifty video phones out? Share with us what you thought.
VP-200, OJO, VPAD, MVP, and now these VPs. WOW – we deaf and hard-of-hearing persons sure are being spoiled by VRS providers. Don’t you love that! Of course, they do them because they want to make money ;-]
