I, too, can not believe Ed will be a retiree! You are too young! (smile) We go waaay back, and I often reminisce. Ed, thank you for supporting me personally and professionally as we worked together towards equal access to emergency communications!! Though these battles goes on, it gets amazingly easier due to the leadership you have provided over the years. Please stay in touch.

As a subscriber to your Telecom Alert, I have found your newsletter invaluable and interesting, especially because I work with the California Public Utilities Commission advisory board on relay and equipment. I hope that you keep the Telecom Alert going, because it is a nationally recognized source of trends in the telecommunications industry and I feel that you have a personal stake and interest in keeping us informed.

Congrats on your retirement. Gonna have plenty of time for kayaking (or canoeing) and fishing? :) Sometime I send out e-mail messages to the Deaf mass and would like to include you because I know your e-mail address with PUC is no longer in use.

Again, enjoy your retirement, my old friend.

All..

I was going to respond individually, but realized there were many of you. First of all, thank you for ur kind words. You know the old saying “behind every successful man is a woman” It is true in my case - my wife has been simply wonderful - and I will add that along with wife, there are many persons who have supported me by various ways and they are you. If not for you all, I would really not be where I am.

eyes open & thumbs up w/ heartfelt thanks,

Ed
