ICED Resolution
29 07 2010Folks..
My apologies to those who already got this, but I thought worth posting for those who may have not seen that one.
Quote
"Therefore we:
- Reject all resolutions passed at the ICED Milan Congress in 1880 that denied the inclusion of sign languages in educational programs for Deaf students;
- Acknowledge and sincerely regret the detrimental effectsof the Milan conference; and
- Call upon all Nations of the world to remember history and ensure that educational programs accept and respect all languages and all forms of communication."
My reaction? YAHOO and HUZZAH!
eyes open & thumbs up,
Ed

It is time to be a free deaf people in the world to express our thoughts through sign languages every where in each country. No more forbidden at last! I believe in a total communication. The 2010 ICED RESOLUTION broke our sign language barrier on July the nineteenth.
Yes, it is so great to know that the old forbidden rule had finally been removed from ICED since 1880 and someone in WA State said that it was Wayne Sinclair who pushed it to make it happened so root it for him if he did that…Hat off to W.S.
