Blogger/Vlogger Policy

  • To the best of my knowledge, blogs/vlogs will be factual.
    • Most of the blogs/vlogs (text/sign language) will include links and then do a summarization of the issue of the link.
    • A few blogs may only show link with very brief statement; that probably means it is easy to read and the link is self-explanatory so no need for detailed summarization.
  • Edsalert will acknowledge any mistakes and correct them immediately.
  • Most vlogs will have supporting text.
  • I will not delete comments unless they are spam, off-topic, or defamatory.
    • If comments are directed to a person or a company in an overly negative way, I will delete them.
    • Comments with criticism are accepted as long as it is done tactfully.
  • I will respond to comments when appropriate.
  • If I agree with a vendor, it is because I agree with the content of the issue, not that I am obliged to a vendor.
  • I may disagree with a commentator, write a comment, and I will do so respectfully.
  • Regarding press news release from relay providers – most of the time, I only accept and publish press news release if the link came from a media source; that is, not from the vendor itself.
    • When an exception occurs and I publish press news release submitted directly from a vendor (entirely to my own decision); it does not mean I support that vendor; simply means I am sharing the news with the Edsalert Readers because I felt readers would want to know about that (typically press news of an opinion by the vendor of certain federal regulations).

Commentator Ethics

  • Commentators will:
    • Submit comments that are factual.
    • Submit comments that are tactful.
    • Submit criticism in a tactful manner.
    • If copied and pasted from media news or other source, he/she must have permission from author of the media news or other source.
      • Better to submit link instead of copy/paste as this is always accepted.
    • Will not submit comments that are hurtful.
    • Will not submit comments with "expletives".
    • If Commentators want to submit comments that are non-relay issues, they can submit these comments at the "About" page.
    • Can accept tactful criticism from other commentators, and, if wish to do so, counter with tactful repartee.

Heck, just be nice and you’ll be accepted
